Valentine-Making Event Inspires Creativity

Old Stone House neighbor Cynthia displays two of her creations.

Food Coop members and friends celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Old Stone House on Saturday, filling the second floor with construction paper, lace, cupids, and origami hearts. (Old Stone House director Kim even turned a blind eye to glitter, long outlawed from the premises.) Having the event at the Old Stone House allowed Coop members to mingle with the museum visitors and staff who were also feeling creative. While many children participated, it was perhaps the adults who benefitted the most from the chance to spend a few hours with scissors and glue.

Will you be my Valentine?

Tasha made some lovely cards.
